颱風夜無風無雨 台東吹焚風35.2度
由於蘇迪勒颱風的路徑偏北，位在背風面的台東地區，一整晚都沒有明顯的風雨，不過受到地形影響，從今天凌晨開始出現焚風現象，最高溫達到攝氏三十五點二度。(張南雄報導)
台東氣象站表示，蘇迪勒颱風路徑偏北，沒有直撲台東，但受到沉降氣流影響，從凌晨開始出現焚風現象，半夜三點多的溫度一度達到三十四點三度，清晨隨著颱風北抬，焚風現象更加明顯。
此外，相較於宜蘭和花蓮的狂風大雨，台東地區一整夜都沒有下大雨，台東氣象站說，主要是因為颱風路徑偏北，台東處在颱風環流的背風面，而且又有中央山脈的屏障，風雨的影響相對比較小，不過，颱風中心登陸或出海後，由於風向改變，台東地區的降雨情況就會比較明顯。
